I much preferred doing this to Joseph…Dreamcoat. I was essentially the juvenile male here, unlikely though it seems today. All I was required to do was to sing, dance and act. However, I was beginning to realise how much more comfortable I was with the first of those than the other two.
Cowardy Custard turned out to be a pivotal production for me, because our musical director was Colin Sell, who became a dear friend and collaborator.
