Capital Radio was launched in 1973, a local commercial station for London. To add to its music broadcasting, it began a soap opera, which ran for a couple of years, called Nicola Johnson, about young journalist. Its director was Anthony Cornish, whom I’d just met at the Bristol Old Vic. Anthony drafted me in to write some music for the series. I can’t remember anything more about it, unfortunately, and, as far as I know, no record of the music exists.
