Composer Stephen Warbeck has written scores for a huge range of film and TV productions, including Captain Corelli’s Mandolin, Billy Elliot, the BBC’s The Hollow Crown series and the film for which he won his Academy Award, Shakespeare in Love. We’re very pleased to welcome him for this ScreenTalk, to discuss his work on this film and others.
Starring Joseph Fiennes as the Bard, Shakespeare in Lovefollows the imagined origins of Twelfth Night, as William falls in love with would-be actress Viola (Gwyneth Paltrow), while attempting to overcome his writer’s block to satisfy the theatrical demands of Queen Elizabeth I (Judi Dench).
